I painted this piece during a time when life felt tumultuous. The wind and waves were beating against me, and I needed God to anchor me. I needed someone to hold me fast and remind me that through the pain and through the flood, I am not alone. “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” (Hebrews 6:9)
