Desert River came out of a wilderness season, when the Promised Land felt far off, when the temptation came to doubt God's promises. Then in the middle of the desert, there came a river springing forth - a sign of God's faithfulness and provision. 
 
"Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." (Isaiah 43:19)
