God With Us

This painting is a reflection on the "withness" of God. Though we can't touch Him, He is not distant. He is more present than we realize and closer than we think. I created this painting in a season when I wanted God to be tangible, someone I could touch. He met me in a powerful way and reminded me of this sweet promise: "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." (Deuteronomy 31:8)
